Reality sucks......I want to go back to the woods where there are no mean people in the world.

So weird. We've been having all kinds of crazy health issues with our daughter and they seemed way less severe this weekend in the mountains.  She staged a sit-in Sunday afternoon, refusing to get in the car, basically saying "I'm not leaving the mountains Daddy, this is where I am happy." Took quite a while to get her going.

Hard to be mad at her.

Yes, that's the buck I shot 2 seasons ago, just got him back from the taxidermist. Real happy with the way he turned out too!! He's actually the first A-typical buck I've shot that was worth having a mount done ---- his rack is interesting with crab claws, and a 3rd beam. MY taxidermist swears up and down he has a 3rd beam and he's never seen one before. The best woodsman I know (retired DEC guy), doesn't think it's a 3rd beam, so there is some doubt, but my DEC buddy hasn't seen him in person yet so the jury is still out on that one. I'm no expert on antlers so I honestly don't know. I just know a good rack when I see one

And yes, PeeTex, he's almost gone. Sad, very sad.
