I think I’ll head there Monday. No base in the BC yet.

We've got a thin but nice crust up here. I think 6 inches would be game on for nordic in our woods.  GHL on even less maybe.

Is two feet of natural snow enough to open a trail that was completely bare?

Beautiful soft snow sunshine morning at Gore.
The gondola shut down at 940 with no estimated time to reopen. No activity to start the quad.
In other news, Gigi’s is closed for vacation until December 22.

Re: Gore Conditions

I'm disappointed Gore didn't prioritize blowing snow on more advanced terrain for the weekend.   How many blues and greens do they need in early December when families with small children aren't coming until Xmas anyway?

Those willing to drive 4 hours right now aren't doing so for 3b and Sunway.

Don't be disappointed just lower your expectations and realize you will always be "Gored" when comparing how Gore is operated vs. other mountains.

The mountain and the terrain will always be amazing and in good snow there are few places I would rather be (east coast), but I have come to terms with the fact that it will never be run like the big boys for better or for worse.

TBF their snow making has vastly improved in the 5 years I've been consistently skiing there, it's just how they choose to prioritize it.

They did move up Topridge earlier in priority than previous years.

A few in my crew last weekend were denied at the gate. The lifties let them ride gondi once, then they had to go back in to customer service. Someone made a mistake on their rfid cards or something.

At 4pm today, in dim light and heavy snow, last run off the mountain in weightless powder, Wild Air was as good as it gets.  Wider section somehow reminds me of being out west.

Today was a really good day, we picked up about 6" on a prediction of 1-3", and they are blowing in many locations.
Keep in mind these are MY predictions for tomorrow:
Showcase all the way to ADKXII including the 2B connection to the Arena
Sunway all the way
Uncas to Tannery and Lift 7
Cloud, Headwaters and Cloud Runout
Hawkeye ??? Cross your fingers

And I understand some folks having an issue with the lack of terrain suited for better skiers, but it's the first week in December, and everything that is open is in really good shape and the coverage is as well. So think positive and when you see the snowmakers out on the trails, give them a thumbs up and yell out a "Thanks Man"!
