Don't send me email about this thread or about JT or MC. I don't want to hear it.

I'll reopen this thread when there is news on the topic.  I could miss it, so it you want to email me a link that relates to K opening, please do.

Yes, just saw Mike’s email. It’s such a shame, as Superstar still has a boatload of snow on it. However, it’s tough to social distance on one trail and one lift. The Superstar lift line would stretch across to the the Gondola.

Would the allow people to uphill access the snow?

It seems like the right call imho.

And I agree with Benny, go ride bikes!

Same owners as Bachelor so I’m surprised they didn’t go with the pass holders only lottery system for a limited number of slots

JTG4eva!

Ummm.....apparently a dozen stooopid tit for tat posts over a couple hour period last week was enough to upset people enough such that 1) Harvey got emails 2) people got tempo-banned , and 3) a thread got closed .  Whether we’ve all been isolated long enough to be uber-sensitive or not......maybe y’all should just leave it alone!

I can’t say I’m upset K-ton isn’t reopening, I wouldn’t have gone anyway.  Does reinforce why people shouldn’t be going.  Too difficult to social distance.  I guess NY would also consider it a risky activity.  With zones in NY going to Phase 1 reopening the gov’ner gave “permission” to engage in recreational activities....like tennis!

There are other golf courses and bike parks open in the east, but only one beast. Would have been crowded or complicated, and probably created ill-will vs good will.

Be interesting to take bets on when the last snow will be gone on Supe.

With nobody (almost nobody) skiing, it should last a long time. I’m kind of disappointed by this decision but I understand why they took this route. It would have been cool to see them reopen with some kind of limited online pre-purchase/ tee time program. Probably would have been more trouble then it would be worth of course.

Exactly. With the current Ikon pass situation there would be zero additional ticket money for running the lifts and grooming.
