Interesting, I follow sledfreak'.com on FB and they were riding around on the same sled on Sunday, wonder if they were the ones who scooped it up.

The day begins...  Your mountain awaits.

Last night was my nest ride of the year so far --- I was the first one out at 7 PM. It had snowed all day and there was a fresh blanket of 12" POW. It truly was amazing. You could steer with your ass there was so much float.

We took 3 weeks off, as in zero snow. This last storm, for the most part, was a bust giving us about 7 inches. With no base whatsoever I knew it was going to be sketchy out there at best but decided to tip toe around and check it out. Saturday after work I headed out. I almost turned around, was hitting bottom everywhere but kept going to see how it was up top. Once up there I couldn't believe it. There was easily a foot!! Game on.

I quickly sent my buddy a text and he met me up there. We rode saturday night and all day sunday. We were the only 2 out there ---- snow on the way and we now have a base. Bring on march!!!

What's the biggest critter you've seen at night?  I'd be scared that there is a moose looking at my headlight.
Sent from the driver's seat of my car while in motion.

No moose here in CNY --- the biggest around here (other than a loose cow) would be deer. Hitting something like that would ruin your night real quick.

I know a guy who actually hit one and he was in bad shape for a while.

One cool thing from yesterday was when we ran into DEC. My buddy and I had just popped out onto a seasonal use road to take a break. Sitting there on the side of the road and all of a sudden a DEC truck rolls up on us. They were totally cool. Asked us how are day was going and if we needed a tow --- LOL

One interesting thing was they asked us if we had any guns. I said no but wished I had because I had seen 4 woodcocks so far that day that would be easy shooting. They nervously laughed. I knew one of the guys so he knew I was joking. Woodcocks are out of season and it's totally illegal to be hunting off of a sled. It was till good to make those guys laugh.

I could put up multiple pictures of POW and sleds, sleds bustin POW, sleds sitting still, places we stopped etc etc

I could try and put words together to try and explain how this was the best weekend of riding I've ever had.

But I'm not going to even try to do that ---- lets just say this happened

He made it back --- I was laughing so hard I couldn't film it anymore

He and I were on the deck drinking a beer when all of a sudden he looked at  me and said:

#14 --- I'm gonna run the lake

Camp -- OK, cool (I knew he was serious)

Camp --- You ever run that muich open water before??

#14 -- (looking up and down the open water) Nope, gonna be a new record

#14 --- Hold my beer partner

We both laughed our ever livin asses off....  and it was game on

I walked into the bar to grab our 2 other buddies. All I said to them was you guys will want to be outside for this!

People in the bar had their minds blown right off

We got it 284 mile for the weekend

Just shy of 1000 for the year

100% no thought --- 100% crazy --- 100% No Fear

but it takes that to win the Snowcross National Championship, or so I'm thinking it does

So you just gun the hell out of it and you can stay up indefinitely if you don't lose your balls or hit any chop?
