I was also blown away by the video. I posted a link to it on facebook and someone asked "how fast is that?"

I guessed... 50mph?

Aaron Gwin is the at the top of his game right now. He took the Plattekill ProGRT the last two years.

I also liked his casual ending. Nobody even seems to notice him as he rides through the crowd.

That looks like sanctioned insanity. Wiping out at those speeds on a bike is a disaster. Lots of things to hit and bounce into. I hope those guys are getting paid some decent $$$.

Ok here's another ....this time an urban DH...the RedBull Valparaiso race from last year...(I may have posted this before...)



It's just as eye opening. Maybe moreso.  The helmet cam is pointed a bit low in this one, I found myself lifting my head to see further down the course.....

^ That is completely insane. Clip a telephone pole with the bars and you are toast. The dog sure got out of the way in a hurry at 0:28.

Nice runs, I like the Plattekill run! Why is the FPS so low on these? I swear I have seen much better POV footage in the winter. Maybe they are just bombing so fast the GoPro can't keep up, or maybe all white is easier to shoot?
