Big Tupper and Titus Mountain Ski Area Announce Ski Incentive

TUPPER LAKE - With the 2011-2012 ski season creating challenges for the Big Tupper Ski Area, it was announced this week that Titus Mtn. Ski Area will offer any Big Tupper seasons pass holder a day ticket for $10 for the remainder of the season.

ARISE Chairman Jim LaValley met with General Manager Zach White and the Monette brothers, the new owners of Titus, earlier this week to discuss cross marketing efforts. LaValley said that, "during those discussions, the Monette's made an incredible offer that would allow the Big Tupper season pass holders an opportunity to ski Titus at a huge discount price. We are very grateful to the Monette's and the Titus ski family for this generous offer."

Titus Mtn. Is located in the Northern Foothills of the Adirondacks, just south of Malone. It boasts a large land area with three mountains of skiing. With seven chairlifts, 2 lodges, and all types of terrain, Titus is less than one hour from the tri-lakes area. Titus also offers full food and beverage service, with a ski shop that is operated by the International Border Company of Malone.

Brian and Bruce Monette said, "we understand the volunteer effort underway at Big Tupper, and its success only stands to help us succeed. This offer is our way of helping ARISE, the skiers of Big Tupper, and the ski industry as a whole. Our region needs to work together so that we can all succeed."

LaValley added, "with General Manager Zach White involved, it shows how the two ski areas can come together to offer such a great package."

Big Tupper season pass holders only need to show their pass at the Titus ticket counter for this special offer.
