I'm doing this too, and a little frustrated. No idea what trails are being blown at either Gore or Whiteface, no idea what the plans are, no idea how much snow they got at Snow Ridge or whether they'll open.

I guess I should just accept it as a cost of being a weekend warrior and just be surprised when I get wherever I go (current plan is Gore Saturday, WF Sunday).

Same here! I attempted to ask on WF's facebook and the only response from them was the link to their conditions page...thanks...

Now they're calling for 40-50 MPH winds on Saturday.

Excellent coverage on excellsior lower Northway and Broadway to lower valley to base.    

Could have upper valley open tomorrow too. Blowing hard on boreen (plus all the above mentioned).  

Some nice LES drifts in the regular spots and they got poached hard.   Stay on open trails for sure tomorrow.  

Quality man made!!

Yesterday when I picked up my uniform at lunch time they were only blowing the top half if Victoria so I'd guess that Harvs first post is correct that it might not come on line until Sunday is correct.

Could get a little breezy here this afternoon.

I was wrong.  They got Victoria open from the get go on Saturday.  Shoemakers are doing an amazing job!

Lo visibility mist but hero snow today.  If you had good goretex it was some good skiing.

Yeah, wasn't horrible. Fun snow. Took about 6 runs and left.

Drove by this morning.  There are still white snakes going up the hill.  I was nervous we may loose everything.  Right now she looks like a ugly chick in the morning. They will put some make up on her and she will be ready to roll.

I read this while I was sitting in a waiting room. People around me were looking at me trying to figure out why I was trying to hold laughter in.

Whiteface Begins Full Operations Wednesday

WILMINGTON, N.Y. --- Whiteface Mountain, in Wilmington, N.Y., will begin seven-day a week operations beginning Wednesday, Nov. 26, and continue through mid-April.
 
Over the past two weeks, the Olympic mountain has opened on weekends only and last weekend, skiers and riders enjoyed 12 open trails.  Check the resort’s Daily Anticipated Conditions Report for tail updated trail conditions and openings. Lift tickets prices through December 13, 2014 are $62 for adults, $52 for teens and seniors, $42 for juniors and just $40 for skiers and riders 70 and older. And as always, children six and under ski and ride for free.
 
While at Whiteface on Thursday, take in a traditional Thanksgiving buffet, served in the J. Lohr Vinyards & Wines Café & Wine Bar.  For just $12.95 per person, enjoy turkey, stuffing, potatoes, deserts and more.

Anyone know when Kids Kampus Chair & Slope will be open? Would love to get some turns in with the little Cornelius's on the 1st weekend of 12/6-7.

Not likely to much closer to Xmas.  The lodge is under construction over there.

Everything is good shape except Victoria which was thin but they are blasting it so it should be fine tomorrow.

blowing Essex so that will come on line this weekend.
