LE machine to crank up tonight. Not calling for much (2 to tree) but every little bit will help.

She had another post that followed with some weather weenie talk....oscillating this, that going negative, some other jet thing....to back it up. Let’s hope by late March she is telling us how right she was! Platty should be glorious for the weekend, hope to make it Sunday.

12z is showing a warm, wet system for next Tuesday, followed quickly by another system on Thursday that could be a decent snow-maker.
I think late February/early March is our best chance for any decent snow fall, every model I've seen show a warmer than average March (following the warmer than average December, January, and February we've experienced). |

Just tapped into my last ton of pellets. Trout season isn't that far away. We better enjoy it while we have it.

I have taken Monday off from work to ski, knowing that the end is coming. I think that it should be a good weekend. I am not so sure about what happens after that... Plus, GP won't open until a leisurely 9:30 on Monday, making for a nice, relaxing day. :)

I saw this in the forecast as well, let's see if it pans out

Trust me, Harvey, I plan on skiing until the end, which should be a good solid five weeks. I like being at GP for opening day and closing day. 😀 I have been on the lifts listening to red-winged blackbirds, which is surreal. My comment about who knows what happens next is because we are supposed to get some rain and warmer temperatures which may mess things up.
This weekend, however is perfect.😁 My birthday is in mid-April. I think it would be fun to ski on my birthday. |

Being able to ski on your Birthday is cool. Mine is in May and I’ve done it once.

Mine is December 21, and some years I can't ski it because it rains.

I guess how much things get messed up depends on where you are. Over the next two weeks the Cats could see many days in the 40s, with several pushing 50, and more ncp than flakes. I could get bad, maybe it won’t. Up in the Daks there may be a handful of days in the 40s, with more flakes than ncp, and freezing temps at night. Maybe the corn starts cooking early, but the season isn’t melting away in a fortnight. Skiing will be around for a while. No doubt you will be able to ski on your mid April birthday, just depends on how much effort you are willing to make.

After this widespread combo event the LE kicks in. Tug Hill will get 3 to 4 feet! Only 6 to 8 for us but I'll gladly take it.

Shit, Benny just called the EC season toast after next week’s messy Tues/Wed! Thinking that’s a bit alarmist, but he seems to be all about WC lately....
