1/29 - 1/30/15 Clipper System

JTG4eva!
Not getting any chatter......but I see multiple forecasts putting Placid/Whiteface at 4-8 inches, Gore 3-6 inches.
We REALLY need a proper roll eyes emoji!!

^ 5:30? None of that snow on the radar is getting to the ground. Was at West until 8. Nothing.

Maybe an inch on the ground here in the Utica area, snowing moderately now with lots of wind. The Adirondacks should be fun this weekend.

I think they are calling for like 3-5" on NOAA, I saw 5-8" in a few weather blog type forecasts...WF reporting 2" overnight but looks like it's snowing pretty good on webcam at the mountain...same goes for in town ( http://www.northwoodschool.org/webcam/camera0.jpg ).  I think maybe the 3-5 was for all said and done by tonight?  If so, seems like it could still happen.

For comparison, Stowe reporting 2-3" this morning, pretty on par with WF when they usually end up the lucky one..same for sugarbush/killington/etc all reporting general 2-4ish...so at least it wasn't the ADK getting skunked vs VT, which always is a bummer.

Aside from the cold temps, this weekend should be pretty nice...maybe it will keep crowds away...heading up after work today i'll be at whiteface tmrw in a yellow jacket white helmet, on skis...say hey if you're there.
