The way things are shaping up it’s looking like there’s going to be a lot more winter out that way than here.

No source and my post wasn't based on anything factual, just my gut feeling and probably seeing that Plattekill update this morning while it's been in the mid 70's here.

It's feeling like a dry one and every year following a really big season tends to be a full on drought since I've lived here. I hope I'm wrong but I wouldn't cry about riding in Sedona all winter either. :)

I'll let you guys know if I can get out that way, I'd love to meet up and get some laps in!

FINALLY getting around to something from LAST season has served as a source of stoke for me. Tired of playing with it, so here is a video edit of the day my brother and I spent in the Baker backcountry at the end of March. The day had its’ challenges (weather, broken GoPro housing, slow pace, etc.)....but it gives you an idea of how a couple of hacks “slay” the untamed wilds of the PNW on a storm day! Don’t worry, I’m not quitting my day job to become a videographer.😂

Wonder if they are thinking of opening for passholders on Friday?

While there could be a couple inches of snow over the weekend, 50 degree temps with rain showers Wed night into Fri morning would seem to render blowing last night somewhat useless, no?

Maybe. They may anticipate the temps at the top being more favorable. Of course they need snow all the way to the lift so I doubt they'll be open very soon

The 50 degree temps are forecast  for 4,200 ft.  Down low temps could push 60 Thurs night into Fri.

Obviously they think some of what they blew will stick around.  Nice to see those kinds of ops starting up/testing.

A part of the blowing snow is also for publicity and to get people talking.  They also tested the systems last week or the week before I can't remember which created a buzz too.  Earliest I skied there was 10/30
