Yea, I know there's been a yin and yang, a this and that thing about this lift, but this, I do know....

I talked to the actual owner of FS once prior to SBV ground breaking. He was all braggadocio about the Ski Bowl Village project and how he owns this and he owns that...... Blah, blah, blah.

He actually stated to me they were going to build a gondi from the Ski Bowl base to the SUMMIT of Gore proper and that the State had in fact already approved $11,000,000 to build it.

I told him  " It will never happen. "

" They already approved the money for it ". Blah, blah, blah.

" Never happen. "

Anyway, somewhere I saw the lift from SB to Gore's base would be a fixed grip, but who cares.....Bovines aren't atmospherically bouyant either.

WOW...lots of food for thought.

Rode the Hudson on Sunday, was wondering the entire time how the fishing was...cause the rapids weren't.   Actually really enjoyed the peaceful day...absolutely awesome views.   Just been spoiled by Wva 5 and 6 rapids.

The FS homes have to be selling now.   I swear I saw signs of life in two of them.   They also have to be selling for 1m per duplex.   They are absolutely wonderfully built.   Nothing missed.

Me and my kids have intertubed (by climbing) into late April and even early May in the ski bowl tube park.   Key, snow and pack.   That North side will be shaded by the mountain and many trees.  Cant imagine them cutting many trees for the trails.   Run a groomer, blow snow and pack and the snow will last.

Were I an instructor at Gore, I would head to the ski bowl to get away from the crowds and ski the greens that will likely be nice and vacant down there.

Where are the condos???????on FS..or somewhere else?

FS has not started to sell any units. The owners occupy the first unit built. As I said in a previous post, they cannot market or sell until they finish with the waste water treatment plant which is being built now.

Thanks DSS.      Guess they are using 5 gal buckets on cold nights.    :)

I was wondering where they put the treatment plant.   With new technology, they dont have to be big, but it would still be visible.     Do you know where the condos are that another posters spoke about?

Also, Harv.    I think they covered as much rock as they could with soil and then planted...and then nature took over, appeared to be lots of wild growth, as opposed to planted hay grass.   That said, there are still lots of rocks...which will make it fun/scary looking and keep the blue skiers off the slope.   They tend to stay away from slopes with visible obsticals.   Still can't time their turns, or dont have that much faith in their own ability...Keep the rocks I say.

The treatment plant is being built in the front corner of the property. As you head into FS past the gate house, take a right and follow that road to the end and you will see the area, basically the lowest point of the property because as we know shit flows downhill
As far as condos, right now what you see is it, two duplexes. Phase 1 build-out is 11 units total; four duplexes, and one triplex.

The first duplex is using a hold and haul septic system that had to be permitted by the APA and the Town of Johnsburg. FS received an extension of this permit till the completion of the treatment plant. The second duplex will be tied into the plant upon completion.
