A different business model

I was sad to see GoLite camping gear go under a year or so ago, I have several of their products and really like them, my tent is only 3lbs, a 3 person tent that I use for 2 with lots of room.

Well the founder is coming back with a new company http://mytrailco.com/
The business model is that they are looking for investors to raise $200K to get things kicked off, you get a discount on an already low priced product + dividends. I think it will be a difficult model to make work but I wish them well and hope they come back with a lot of the GoLite favorites.
