Acorns & a Snowy Winter

Just chiming in here...not sure where you are living these days MC but, and I have not personally seen a wooly yet this year, the pictures and reports I have from around Saratoga the woolies are all black.  I like using woolies as predictors.  Last year was a better winter than the woolies I saw but pretty close.  I have had a ton of turkeys and can see the deer in my woods but they don’t come close because of my dog.  Coy dogs and turkeys don’t seem to be afraid of Rocky.  I need to ski soon.

Tons of acorns on the ground around here. I posted something about it and the ole' wive's tale on Snowjournal 10 days or so ago. Finger's crossed!

Last year my Oaks  gave off a ton of acorns..This year nada..

They’ll get picked up with the leaves. If they weren’t  in the middle of the wiffle ball field I’d  let them sit.
