Very well said! Having raised a ski racer who quickly learned she was not going to be an under 50 point racer let alone a 150 point racer, the motivation, ability to pick one's self up after a loss and go on, the ability to focus on details, the ability to excel and the maturity it brought in so many other things was invaluable. If that's what you are doing at NW I applaud you.
Don't ski the trees, ski the spaces between the trees.
