I think he's talking about the pics in the very beginning of my report from the Silverthorne area along I-70

Mike, we had boot top powder on Thursday at Highlands and another boot top day at Loveland on our way to Denver on Friday.  A great week.  Looks like you enjoyed it.

Damn - just missed it!  Stayed in glenwood springs Wed night, woek up to some light snow, but found out about Sunlight and had a bogo...and it was supposed to be an "off" day but I wasn't going to just watch the snow fall.  Had a good 4-6" half day there, but it's no Highlands.  Looks like you scored!

A-basin Friday sounds like your Loveland day, right down the road so I'm sure we had similar weather.  Will be updating my trip report maybe tonight to finish it up with those details.

A basin used to be my home mountain..my favorite spot...when the East Wall goes off...there's no where better.  Even when it hasn't snowed in a while, there are hundreds of lnes in Pali to be skied.  Love it there so much!

Not sure if anyone else is having this problem, but I can't seem to scroll all the way to the bottom of my first page...it just sort of cuts off at the end of my Aspen Highlands report.

Maybe a browser setting issue on my end?

I can see the whole thing. Some times my iPhone does that when it has a bad connection. Maybe clear your cache and go back in. Congrats on a great trip by the way.

Thanks guys - I usually just lurk on others trip reports, but figured I'd contribute a descent one since we took the time to take a lot of pictures

Started to head out there, but it was vertigo, so I took a short run off the traverse to get into the trees so I could see.  Was considering the hike, but never went back over there and did it...visibility sucked up there and the snow was plenty good off the Pali lift. Next time

I hate the whe white out/vertigo thing when it happens on Skyward.  Not risking that in higher consequence terrain was a good choice!

Good to have something to go back for!  Still have JetBlue credits to use up??

Yeh, I do $125.  Trying to convince my buddy to come out again possibly, but it would have to be on a tight budget.  If the season ends on the east coast I'm going to try and figure something out.  Really want to get out to UT...approaching the 600" mark.  Have a voucher from years ago at Alta for a lift ticket that they gave me when I fractured my femur there in 2013.  Also have another round of BOGOs on my Gems card for CO...there's some cheap flights into Denver (not JetBlue tho).

Tahoe would be sweet too - flights into RNO are cheap, but lift tickets out there are horrible and no deals that I know of.

I'm gonna head somewhere the weekend of March 25/26.  Current leaning is PNW, getting hammered and snow in the forecast every day into the middle of next week.  BC guide gets cheaper (pp) the more peeps you have.  Just sayin'.....

SLC is also high on my list.  Would love to get back to Tahoe, but no more JetBlue miles, and tickets that particular weekend aren't cheap.

Yeh I'm leaning SLC since I know the area well and a quick trip there is easy due to airport access to the mtns...but looking at all options...including SEA...

Have 34k American AL miles too...

One step closer to PNW 3/25-26.  Booked the Alpine Inn at Crystal.  Can always cancel.....
