I was fired once in my life.  On top of it, I was dumped 3 days later.....the 2 were not unrelated.  I look forward to you posting some good news in the next day or so.  Good luck.

Maybe I'm forever the optimist, but it may not be a bad thing.  May be a good time to evaluate things and decide if you like the direction your life is headed.  Perhaps it's time for a change?  Maybe a good time to move to a small town in the Adirondacks or VT and focus on your skiing?  Sell that money pit you have near the city and get away?

I'm telling you, you'd be surprised how little you can live on, especially if kids are out of the picture.

How does your wife feel about living in a van?

I could pair down my life...My wife doesn't feel the same..

Been at my current job for 19yrs.. I wanted this gig to last a few more years and then call it a day..
Sucks having to look for a new job this late in life, but a change will be good..
