Hiked up yesterday with my skis and a bunch of camping equipment since my friend and I planned on skiing all day and camping overnight. Considering how much stuff i was carrying we got to the top of wanatuska pretty quickly.
Upper wanatuska had a good base with a small amount of ice that turned into super soft snow once you dug in your edges which was fun to turn in.
damn snowboarders always sitting down...
upper Belleayre Run had thin cover to the right side but we decided to hit it anyway
side to side coverage on wanatuska
My dad skiing lower wanatuska with the dog, which constantly tried biting his skis the whole way down
Decided to make a run all the way down and hike back up again on wanatuska
The bumps were gone on the bottom but you could still ski down them with a few quick turns
And thats as far as the trail goes...
i made 5 runs the whole day, even tho the season was short i still managed to have a good one and make every day count, seasons like this just make you appreciate good seasons like last year loaded with snow and after it was all done i managed to get in 40 ski days this season.
