Big Bear Snow day 1/21/11 Belleayre Sat 1/22/11

Amazing what 6 inches of snow can do for a ski area, Skied our home mountain with my three kids Thursday after work.The rain storm ,from earlier in the week ,turned it into ice pack. Conditions before that were terrific. Come Friday morning the place was a Winter Wonderland once again. We made fresh tracks for about three hours. Some trails even got alittle moguled up. What agreat day to take a snow day!              Saturday we headed up to Belleayre and were rewarded with another day of awesome  conditions.The snow was alittle firmer and it was bitter cold in the morning but Belleayre sure was a Winter Snowpark. The woods was no longer the fluff it was the weekend before but the trails of Cathedral Brook and the line ,were the old lift was taken out ,skied well. Dot Nebel was a GS turn lover's dream.We stayed away from the Super Chief quad all day and never saw a lift line. We just had two of the best ski days back to back any one could ask for!
