Bigger SUVs

Been peeking through the tinted glass of some of the bigger SUVs.  (Luckily I haven't gotten questioned about it!)

As I look in these vehicles I have to say I don't get it.  I checked out a Nissan Armada today.  It feels twice the size of my CRV.  But the front seats look the same. The back seats are maybe a little bigger. The big difference seems to be in the cargo area. I can't imagine that thing getting 20 mpg.  It's got huge knobby tires.

If you have a very tall family or have to want to pull a boat it could make sense. Just don't see it for the average family.

Well, I can finally confess my secret lust for a big gas-guzzling station wagon. Personally, I love the look of the Chevrolet Suburban (in production since 1935!) and its slightly smaller sibling, the Tahoe. My brother has a 'Burban (he needs the room for work-related activity), the thing is a piece of crap and constantly needing minor repair, but let me tell you, it is seductive to drive. Smooth, fast and very safe-feeling. Just close your eyes at the gas station. His is dark blue with tinted windows so folks are always getting out of the way, thinking you are a cop. Speaking of which, our local officers have several Tahoes, and the "stealth" black ones are pretty hot-looking.
