Cannon Mtn 4/16

My daughter Zoe (zoe is on the right)went to Cannon today. I went to Cape Cod..
She declared it is now her favorite NE mountain...Here are some pics..

Was at Cannon Mtn. on Thurs. 4/13/17. Have a few pics. Cool place. Bode Miller grew up skiing there. Was told that once every year Bode comes back to meet and ski with the race kids.









Tram was finished running for the ski season.
First Tram in North America was installed here in 1938.

I think the Tram has 2 cars. A red one and a yellow one. This pic I took from a poster on the wall in the base lodge.

It does.  I think the current Cannon tram was new in 1984-ish.  I seem to think they rebuilt the whole thing.  Trams usually are on a haul rope that loops around the top and bottom stations.  Whistler's Peak-to-Peak is one exception I know of where the 22 (or so) passenger trams detach as they enter/exit the stations.

We had talked about going there then decided to head to Jay - Next season we plan to get to this place during the high season.  Its a great mountain for sure. Coverage looks good too.
