Celestial Events

Figured a general celestial events thread might be useful.  I submit.....prelude to super moon.

Took this a couple of nights ago , backyard.  

No offense, JTG, but I like freeheeln's photo better.

No disputing his is a better photo, very well composed, with great focus, and likely taken with a better camera.

But.....it doesn’t have the halo, which is what I found photo-worthy last night.

No.  What, did you expect I wouldn’t have ANY response??  His photo IS pretty nice....and better.

No halos tonight, which I was reading were the result of light refracting through ice crystals in the upper atmosphere.  Pretty cool stuff.
