Anybody remember Damart? Seemed like a cutting-edge alternative to cotton thermals at the time, but it was horrible.
It generated enough static electricity to power a small town and retained B.O. no matter what you used to wash it.
I take today's great base layers and breathable garments for granted. It wasn't always like that.
