EPIC DAY, Whiteface, NY: 1/5/03

This photo was taken January 5th 2003.  We are at the top of the summit chair and amazed at the dense clouds below us.  It seemed as if we were on an island surrounded by ocean water.  Above the thick clouds the weather was bright and sunny but below the clouds it was snowing heavily.  We have always felt blessed that we withstood the snow and ventured up to the summit to be surprised by this awesome weather phenomenon.
