East Chatham, NY Hiking

rfarren
I skied Jiminy this past Sunday. It was ok, not great. The highlight was my wife had a big breakthrough as far as technique is concerned.

Today I skied the hill behind my Uncle's house in East Chatham where I was staying. The hill has about 200ft vert maybe a bit more, and had more than enough snow.

BTW, the best part about hiking for turns is the cost... I spent nothing on the most expensive weekend of the year.

Ha!  From the title I thought you'd taken the weekend off from skiing.

Who was key grip on this venture? Nikki?

Nikki snow shoed up and down once while I hiked 3 times. She took all the shots on my iphone. She also took some video from my Uncle's Porch, but it's hard to see me. It looks like one of those videos where Sasquatch is hidden slightly behind the trees.

She did a great job Saturday (skiing at Jiminy Peak), her skis moved closer together and her technique improved quite a bit. The thing that really helped her was nose, knees, toes.
