First Outing of Year

northerncajun
So if you guys had a choice where would it be.

Whiteface
Gore
Stratton
Okemo

Going with intermediate girls 9 and 12 they can almost ski the blacks.

Jump in give an opinion I have a few from members just would like a few more.

Leaning toward Gore and Okemo.

Okemo will have the most terrain open and the stuff they have will probably be better for intermediates (Gore might get Ruby Run open, which would help them). The thing is, being able to "almost ski blacks" is different in the middle of the season than on the first day back on skis, with a ton of people, and with questionable snow conditions (due to traffic).

I would say Okemo or Killington. Killington is really kicking ass for the early season. Not to mention the buy-one-get-one deal is pretty convenient.

But you know all the slopes listed on the gore site are no problems for the girls, but heck we never been to Okemo and they say its nice and friendly. Lots of good skiing.

Of course, I'm just saying there's a big difference in fox lair now, as opposed to mid-season. That steeper part can develop bumps real quick with the amount of traffic it gets, and the bumps might be tough on the first day out. (As I said, though, the point is moot if they get Ruby Run open)
