Flatlander 4th of July Travel Strategy

That's what I was thinking second half of the week cut it a day short still probably leave Wednesday morning much easier to leave Wednesday morning from home then it is to leave Sunday morning from the cabin.

Leave Friday night, return Wednesday  is my suggestion. Harriman will be busy going south Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday in my opinion.  Sunday the worst. This gives you 1 more day than leaving Tuesday night and coming home Saturday. Good thing I am heading to the Saint Lawrence river Wednesday morning and returning Sunday. Never much traffic!

Harv, Sounds like you may have decided to take the first part of the week. Nice choice. Just a little travel update for all you traveling 87 to the metro area. Just spoke to my friend who is working on the Thruway job in Suffern, his schedule is Monday, Thursday and Friday this week. To all, enjoy the Holiday week wherever you are!

He works 7p to 7a Monday night. I would stay till the 4th

No delays today from about 11am to about 2pm on 87.  New Paltz to Warrensburg. Surprising.

We r fortunate living here in 1000 island region so no travel this week. We just spent 8 days at the Cape .
