Flurries and Furnaces

Had the first of both this morning...

The thermostat read 57 in the living room this morning. I figured the wife and kids endured enough.  Lol.  So, after I took the dog out, I turned on the downstairs furnace for the first time this season and then the flakes started to fall!!

It was/is a good omen day!!

First flurries here in CNY was on Saturday --- first measurable snow was this morning with 2" --- pellet stove has been running for 3 days now

Best time of the year is almost upon us

We have flakes here in north NJ, too. Our heat has popped on a few times before today.

I am no hero and refuse to be a martyr , furnace is on ,has been on , will always be on from the onset of cold weather .here in NNY . Dates mean nothing to me  i am into  comfort , not false economy

Our gas fireplace has been on daily since early Oct ,  furnace set 67 during colder fall days , 64 while sleeping
