We are Adirondack Pub and Brewery, a Craft Brewery located in Lake George, NY at the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. On March 6th, 2015 we were presented with a Complaint for Trademark Infringement and a demand for a Jury Trial by Moosehead Breweries Limited, a large Canadian corporation who produces alcoholic beverages such as Moosehead Lager, Alpine Lager, and James Ready 5.5.

The Oland (Moosehead Breweries) family are pretty fu*%ed. One son is currently on trial accused of murdering his father...
Asshattery is truly a global enterprise.

Disclaimer: Telemark Dave is a Hinterlandian.
He is not from New York State, and in fact, doesn't even ski there very often. He is also obsessive-compulsive about Voile Charger BC's.
These guys need to start a social campaign in Mooseheads major markets, a product boycott campaign. It will be the only thing that will stop it. Remember just recently when Specialized tried the same BS against a small bike manufacturer. The public response shut it down.
Mooseheads, Moose wiz, not even anatomically close. Good luck.
Don't ski the trees, ski the spaces between the trees.
Mooseheads, Moose wiz, not even anatomically close. Good luck.
Hmm, I don't know. I spent two years at the University of New Brunswick (TD also had a stint there), in the the heart of Moosehead country. The popular name on campus for Moosehead was Moose Piss. Now, you can't deny there is some similar etymology to Moose Wiz going on there.
For MBL to have a legal case there they probably would have had to embrace and trademark the term Moose Piss, an expression which I bet they chose not to associate with. Because a bunch of college kids assign a derogatory moose-like name to your swill does not an infringement case make?
