Picking up on RA's freaky Japanese fruit whateverthatwas... any interesting Internet search stories out there?
My funniest one has to do with one of my kids. I'm a vanilla kind of guy, so nothing noteworthy of my own. However, those here with kids might appreciate this one. So six or seven years ago, before the kids disappeared into their phones, my oldest son, maybe 8 at the time, would use the 'puter, the olde fashioned desktop kind, to search YouTube for funny videos. We kept pretty good tabs on him, knowing what kind of world we live in. Well, one night we were busy upstairs while he was searching downstairs. All of a sudden he comes upstairs, half terrified/half teary eyed, saying "I saw something really scary on the computer". Well, he was into searching funny cat videos at the time. Thinking cat, maybe nine lives, pussy (cats) or whatnot.....heck, there could be all manner of deviant snuff stuff or porn he could have found his way to on the interweb, right? So after comforting him I head to the computer to check the history, see where he went, figure out if there is anything I need to talk to him about, explain or whatnot, and I find he was frightened by.........this.
