I was stuck (not really) in an REI last fall, and just got stopped and mesmerized by the long video at the GoPro marketing station on a little but big enough HD screen. All sorts of sports went by - surfing, auto and motorcycle racing, MTB, skiing, of course, and some other stuff . I mean, I gotta laugh at the tele tubby steaze these things have sprouted, but, when used right, the results can be cool.
I saw lots of excellent video and photos this year. Their gyroscope tech is awesome. One is in my short list for Christmas. It will come before new skis for dad. (ME) its that good and important.
