I am not arguing with the sentiment of that article but that image is several weeks old. You can find these images uploaded daily on the NOAA Coastwatch page. Click on the thumbnail that looks the least obscured by clouds. Once it loads in your browser, scroll around until you recognize landmarks. I track ice-out this way and you can even see the fall colour in late September:
