It's Aspen Highlands for sure.

RA for the score

Its the hike to at the top of Highlands taken from side / back angle from the other part of the ski area.  Sadly I did not get to hike it as they were doing some odd uphill and downhill race across all the Aspen ski areas that day and the access was closed to the public which is why you see everyone going up but no one in the bowls itself as they were then going out a gate to ski down towards Buttermilk

It was rad. Shortly after I took that pic I started to figure out all of the hike to zones. I mostly skied by myself into the cat skiing area on the back side and down to the snowmobile road in Canyon Creek. the local bilers were always happy to give a ride back up to the Bighorn chair but even if you didn't see anyone the hike wasn't that bad. Back then you could do those hiking laps all day long and not cross another track if you new where to go. I was in heaven.

I had moved out there with my high school girl friend and she wasn't that into skiing so you can imagine how that ended up. I left in the spring to meet back up with childhood friends in New Jersey and hatch our plans to move to Steamboat Colorado the next winter.

Here is another one. This is from a hiking zone above the lift served but it is in area.



This is looking down the line we skied that morning off that hike. It drops for at least 2k of vert from here.

No idea but I'm guessing this is somewhere in BC or Alberta.

My guess is that it's either Lake Louise or Sunshine Village, both are wild guesses since I haven't been to either. I can tell that those are the Canadian Rockies tho.

Again, I'm looking and it looks very familiar. Maybe all learning slopes look the same. Where is this one, Rog? Part of me wants to guess Sterling Forest but I think that's wrong

I'll give a hint.  It is where I learned to ski as a kid.  It's located in ny and is under 1000 feet vertical drop.
