Hand me downs for a beginner - 28.0 boots?

Is anyone holding onto a pair of old 28s they don't need?

I'm outfitting a friend who is looking to try skiing and he needs a shell size up from what I have.

free or cheap would be helpful, not looking for a pair of Scarpa Alien Carbons or anything here.

Alpine or Tele?

I have an old pairs of alpine boots that I could part with for a 12 pack of sam adams

I also have a size 28 Garmont tele boot with only 3 days on them.  I am selling my tele stuff since I never seem to make time to Tele anymore and I'm not that good at Tele.  Make an offer on them. They are in perfect shape.

Sounds good coach. I was looking for Alpine stuff actually.

do you need the boots before the season or can we meet up once Whiteface opens?

I could use them sooner rather than later. Do you ever make it downstate? Or is mailing / paypal an option?
