Help needed: Cheap and cheerful lodging at Whiteface?

Two of my younger colleagues are planning a last minute ski/snowboard trip (leaving this Sunday) and are very interested in Whiteface.

They are young guys looking to stay somewhere cheap and cheerful, possibly with a ski/stay package. Low budget is the operative term.

Can anybody recommend somewhere in the Lake Placid/Wilmington area that might fit the bill? Is there any dorm style or hostel-type lodging?

I stay in Jay at the Brookside Lodge..Very retro, still has shag carpet. It's cheap and close to Whiteface

There are 2 I know of in LP: Jackrabbit Hostel and High Peaks Hostel. I’ve heard good things about Jackrabbit.

I’m pretty sure there’s one in Keene Valley too, but I don’t know the name and can’t find it on Google.
