Hickory Fall Fest Sept 23 and 5K Oct 20. Volunteers needed.

Hickory's Fall Festival will return, this Sunday, September 23, 2012, with helicopter rides over the Adirondacks, brews, BBQ, live music, a bounce castle and free games throughout the day for kids.
•Event is FREE for all ages
•Open 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
•Todd's Garage will hit the stage at 1 p.m., performing covers from Aerosmith to ZZ Top with plenty of current hits thrown in with the classics.
•Beer (and wine) Tent will be adjacent to the Lodge. Cash only.
•Free kids' games with prizes and craft tables throughout the day.
•Helicopter rides over the southern Adirondacks ($25 - $45 per person)
•BBQ with choices for vegetarians.
•2012 - 2013 Season Passes available for purchase.
•Lots of talk and excitement for the upcoming ski season!

First Annual Hickory 5k
Hickory's first annual 5k is scheduled for Saturday October 20. The 5k road run and kids 1 mile will benefit the Double H Ranch in Luzerne, NY and their Adaptive Ski program.  To preregister for the run now, guarantee a t-shirt, and save $5, visit Active.com.  Stick around after the race for some great grub and brews from the Adirondack Brewery. There will be some awesome prizes for each age category, plus, we're stocking the goodie bags with 2-for-1 Hickory tickets for the upcoming winter!  Also, a big thanks to our sponsors - Kind Snacks, SCAT Bar, Inside Edge and Adirondack Pub and Brewery for their generous donations.

Volunteers Requested
If you're interested in earning a free day of skiing or a beer ticket (21+ only), we are still in need of a few volunteers for this weekend's event. A 1 hour spot gets you a beer ticket and a 4 hour spot gets you a lift ticket for the upcoming season. Call Jeremiah at 518-623-5754 to sign up for a spot - first come, first serve.
