Impressed me again. It's really cool to have such a nice ski town with a decent ski area an hour from home. Especially when it offers night skiing. Hit HV for the first time this year Monday evening after work. Skied for an hour and then hit the village for some good food and brews. Skied again on Tuesday.
In a nutshell, skis much bigger than its vertical suggests, it has perhaps the best lodge and lodging infrastructure in the East and the village is one of the top three in the East IMHO. While the skiing is fun, it's not comparable to true big mountain skiing (Whiteface, Gore). However, it's well worth a visit if you're around the area.
