http://poststar.com/news/local/article_ddc80ff6-3974-11e0-9e3f-001cc4c03286.html" Johnsburg has leased about 26 acres from Front Street Mountain Development, LLC. The 90-day lease frees up access to much of the Hudson ski trail served by the newly completed Ski Bowl lift system. Officials said the town is considering purchasing the parcel outright. "
What does this imply? Is this the land to skier's left of the Hudson chairlift? Gore's Ski Bowl map doesn't show the "Hudson ski trail".
I had a feeling trails to skier's left of the chair were going to be for the Village people only, as they're not shown on Gore's advertisement. Perhaps if the Town buys this land mentioned, some of those trails will be open to Gore skiers.
And why would the town lease/buy this land? Didn't they just sell it to Front Street? Is this yet another sign that the Ski Bowl Village is....flushed? Or just the town trying to open up some of those trails to Gore skiers?
This whole thing is an odd business arangment. The Town owns the Ski Bowl? Orda operates it for them? No lease or compensation? Who pays the bills? Who gets the income?
Not that it matters to this thread, just wondering out loud.
