Johnsburg to close Ski Bowl beach

In today's Post Star, the ski bowl beach will close for good.  Too bad, since it is in such a visible location. It gave summertime passers-through on 28 at least some hint that there's a community with people and activity just off the bypass.

That's too bad. It would have been nice to have a swimming option available in the area.  My brother is spending this week in North Creek at my house with his wife and 3 little kids, and he would have loved to have access to the town beach.  I directed him to Minerva Lake instead thanks to the great posts on this forum about that place.  I'm eager to check it out myself when I go up there next week.  That article did mention that they are exploring options for public swimming elsewhere. I hope that they come up with something.
