Lapland Lake reports a 3 to 7-inch base, but I think it was generally closer to 3 inches. Except for two black diamond loops, almost all of their trail system is open. There was generally good coverage. Some spots were quite dirty - hard to avoid in this low-snow winter. I also noticed 3 or 4 exposed rocks. The base was frozen granular and it was wicked fast, with some of the harder downhill turns scraped down to ice.
At present, this is one of the few open xc places within reasonable driving distance for metro NYC area skiers. It was well worth the trip. Will post with more detail on my own site in the next day or two.
