Laura's

The train is bringing a lot of people into North Creek who tend to say "I never knew this place was even here." One can only hope that one of these train passengers sees the great business opportunity for the neighborhood bar that's been closed for 4 months and buys it (Laura will NOT lease it). I think ski season weekends will be noticeably less fun if Laura's remains closed.

While there are other places to go, Laura's did seem to fill a certain niche.  'Twould be nice if it opened up again.

Although the rumor of a reopening has been going around North Creek for a while now, many have been understandably skeptical. But if you check Laura's Facebook page, it looks like it's really going to happen.

I remember a number of years ago there was a restaurant in N. Creek called Wally's (I think), a quant small place with excellent food, not bar food - but a nice meal. IMHO, that is what NC needs, not another bar. Andy's was different when it was opened, some nice German food, their jaeger schnitzel was as good as you would find in the old country and their spaetzle was also good. These were two places I always stopped by on my way too and from our wilderness home. Now the only place worth stopping in at is B&W and most days I just keep on going.

"It is official Laura's Grand Reopening is Wednesday July 8th at 3:00!!! Finger Diddle will help us celebrate by playing 8-12! Can't wait to see all my costumers again!"

She must have gotten her septic issue worked out with her neighbor.
