With the MLK weekend crowds gone, I spent most of today on what many consider to be the United States' premier mogul mountain: Mary Jane. It's a very consistent 1,800 vertical feet with only a few trails groomed. People are obsessed by the bumps at MJ, and you'll likely hear very few discussion topics on the lifts other than that:
I've mentioned a few times here that I always scratch my head at the idea of tele-skiing and can't understand the attraction, but the tele-ers (who are always out in force at Mary Jane) really looked like they were having more fun in the powdery bumps than us fixed-heelers, so maybe I should rethink my opinion.
WP's website only reported four inches over the past 24 hours, but it snowed most of the night and all day today, so I'm guessing that we were closer to ten inches of new snow that was added to the seven inches from the night before. Here's what it looked like today:
Man when the pictures are that "bad" you KNOW the skiing was GOOD.

James ... come over to the DarkSide of the Force!
How about this ... I'll come cat skiing with you, if you tele for one day on the trip.
