The New York State Troopers Ski Team hosts the Northeastern Police Ski Championships at Whiteface
Mountain in Lake Placid / Wilmington, New York on March 3 and 4, 2014. This year will be the 20th annual event for the Northeastern Police Ski Championships. The Northeastern Police Ski Championships is a not for profit charity event and is the longest running annual charity ski event at Whiteface Mountain.
Proceeds from this year's event will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central New York.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central New York is a not for profit 501( c )( 3 ) qualified organization that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
Approximately 200 ski racers participate in the Northeastern Police Sk i Championships' races each year, representing law enforcement agencies from the Northeastern States and Canada. Officers race in Giant Slalom and Super "G" events for individual and team awards.
