NSR, but, of interest to upstate people

Benny Profane
This is interesting. I was one of many who thought Saratoga Springs was a shoe in for one of the new Vegas casinos approved in the referendum last fall. I did not know there was any opposition until I read this. Shows how healthy that town is, that some can turn their nose up at something hundreds of other towns would have a knife fight over.

Since we are stuck with Bell as part of Orda this might be the ticket to turn that sticker around.  Build a casino there at the base as part of that other development and maybe it could make some money for a change.  Let the Casino then pay into Orda to pay for Bell.

Problem solved!

Sorry what's NSR?

Not a big fan of casinos. IMO they create dependence on government, contrary to the traditional thinking.

Hey Aussie, you escape the flooding ok?  How bad was it?

4 casinos within 20 minutes of where I live.  Not the panacea that people-without-casinoes-in-their-town think it is.  Besides the addiction issues and increased burden on social services they have proven themselves to be, there is no economic development on their coat-tails.  They are like a cruise ship in the harbor from which no one disembarks.
