I remember skiing at Killington in '94 in June and then stopping at a lake and swimming on the way home to Boston (don't remember which one, somewhere in southern VT or NH).  Hope to do something like that this year, will skin up a High Peak and then swim in Lake George.  Hope to post photos.

You're gonna have some shrunken chestnuts swimming in Lake George before mid June, but I hear ya Ever-G. That'ld be something I would do, too. A plunge in Lake George would surely elicit a primal scream, albeit saprano.

It's always cool this time of year to see skis/boards on some car tops and bikes or kayaks on others all on the same day.......  Errrrr-body out having fun! Das guten.

I made my ceremonial transition from winter to spring last year on 4/3 by skiing Whiteface in the morning and then casting a line a few times into the Ausable that afternoon.  It was fun BUT I would not have wanted to take a dip in that water!

I'm not yet ready to end my season this year.  I'm praying that the reports here are correct and that I'll get another weekend or two in.

There used to be a group that would put on an event called "Dual Day" in May.  40 or 50 people would get together, meet for breakfast at the exit 20 outlets, drive to Killington and ski for the morning, tailgate lunch at K, drive to Lake George and Water Ski in the afternoon, followed by a dinner/party. Unfortunately it ended a few years ago as K closed earlier and earlier each year, making it WAY to cold to go in LG (even with a dry suit). It was a great way to end the season...

Thanks Big D and welcome to the forum.

Called the Greek Peak snowline and GP did close on Sunday.

So in NY it's down to Whiteface, Gore, and Holimont - which is having a members only weekend.

Song mountain not officially closed. Had friends who skied it Sunday and said it had excellent coverage

Don't Miss Gore's Last Three Days of the Season!

Just got the email.  This weekend is it.  No Easter Bunny at Gore.

Hope anyone that goes has it as good as we did last weekend.

Had to wonder if ORDA would actually let Gore close AFTER Whiteface.

Looks like Song isn't going to open this weekend. Would have been cool to have Song as the last mtn standing in NY.
