NYS Route 28

If you get on Route 28 in Warrensburg to get to Gore, you are going North, and if you continued all the way on 28 you'd end up in the Catskills, way further south. So would you say "go south on 28" to get from Warrensburg to Gore?

If you are going from North Creek to Old Forge, are you going North, South, or West on 28?

Is 28 a N/S route? or an E/W route?

Most roads keep their N/s or E/W throughout, but 28 curves

N/S that travels E/W

Similar to route 8.  Used to be N/S from Utica to Weavertown.  From mid-Herkimer county, it actually goes due East to Weavertown.

Odd number routes "usually run " N-S, and evens "usually run" E-W for most Inter and Intra State roads.
