NYSB Day at Plattekill?

This post was updated on .
I think it would be a good idea for NYSB to rent Plattekill.  It costs $2,500 for up to 250 people and all facilities are operational.  Only NYSB members + friends and family would be allowed to go.  All that would be needed is to figure out how many people are going, and split the cost accordingly.  Does anyone think that this is a practical idea.

Just get the same group to go on a Friday. Same effect - way less money.

I would be down for it, week days are normally my time off, would have one interested friend, if it can be put together I can account for two if we needed the extra numbers

I'm digging this up.  I'd like to do it next year in Late Feb/Early March.  This forum is one of the only places where I get to express my interest in skiing to its fullest, even if many people disagree with me on many things and I'd like to give back to the community.

I really want this to happen and I'll post more info when I start being able to plan it more.  What I know as of now is that the fee to participate will be $25 per person.  This means that we need a minimum of 100 people to go in order to cover the cost.  If we get more, the proceeds go to NYSB.  As long as Harvey approves, anyone who is a non-banned member can go, and they're allowed to invite an unlimited number of guests, who all must pay $25 as well.

Depending on the hours that the facilities are operational if you rent the mountain, the adults get to go to the bar when the day is done and the kids go to the tubing park, which is another added bonus for most of you.

I think this would be a really fun experience and a great way to meet people who share a love of skiing, but in real life and not just on the internet.  Please let me know if you are interested and I'll create a list of members in this thread who are so that I can send them emails regarding this topic.

It would be nice to put faces to names of a large group of NYSB'ers, I would be in.
