Need tires for Subie Legacy 2011

any suggestions for a good all season tire?

i've been using the hankook 727. i tore up the access road last year at gore when there where cars sliding and spinning everywhere.

Without knowing bupkis about either tire, my guess is that X's recommendation is performance oriented.  Been a while since I bought tires but $140 per tire seems like a lot?  How many miles do you get from those X?

I'm coming up on a similar decision - all seasons for the CRV.  Seems like with the new car I don't need snows.

Or put it this way with Bridgestone Duelers on there, which as OEM I think are probably crappy.

I need a nice roller/mpg tire that will get me up the hill, not easy to find.

The Contis are quiet, wear well, and while Tire Rack might consider them "high performance" I do not know exactly what they mean. They are not a mushy tire. I do not track my car but if I did I would not be using an all season tire. I have never been stuck with Quattro and these tires. I am sure your would have the same results with your Sub Legacy.
