New Jersey town uses pickle juice to melt snow!

Sick Bird Rider
This is very relevant, given the weather forecast, and even made the news on Hinterlandian National Radio. I debated about putting it in the OT thread but it IS about snow. And aren't there some HR folks that hail from the Garden State?

There were several stories but Time had the best headline:

Winter Dill-emma: Bergen County, N.J. Turns to Pickle Juice To Melt Snow

So should we all start carrying a five gallon pail of Strubs' finest in case the weather gets nasty?

I work in Bergen County, NJ and can vouch for the pickle-juice cure.

Southern cities who rarely get snow could use this. I saw a city that got snow this year but had no snowremoval trucks, salters, plows....nada. So the snow stayed on the roads for days and days, turning to ice. Naturally the people were unhappy. The Mayor said they can't afford millions for snow removal equipment when they only get snow every 10 years or so. What to do?

With pickle juice, beet juice, Magic Salt(a liquid) all they need to do is fit their dump trucks or even just pickup trucks with spray tanks.
