EVENT SUMMARY:  Jeremy Davis, author of The Lost Ski Areas series, will speak on the lost ski areas in North Creek and North River which operated in the 30’s through the 70’s.  His book, Lost Ski Areas of the Southern Adirondacks won the 2012 International Ski History Association’s Skade Award for outstanding regional ski history.  Timely photos and artifacts will be displayed.

Following his presentation, a panel of “old time” skiers - Larry Wilke, Tom Cunningham, Greg Schaefer, Mike Butler, Joan Colton, and Tom Butler – will share their  experiences on the lost slopes.  The audience will then be invited to tell their own ski memories as well.  A wine and cheese reception will follow.

This was so much fun.  Tales of skiing North Creek/North River, from those who skied it.

Crap.  I mixed up the dates.  For some stupid reason I thought it was this weekend.  Glad to hear it was good.  Wish I had been there.
