The buzz is building around Boston and NYC for what's being called "Pico Mountain Takeover" on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020.  Tickets are $49, kids 6 and under free, carpools from Boston or NYC are being facilitated.  The initial target is to find 150 people willing to make a commitment to cover costs.  All profits will be donated to Vermont Adaptive Ski & Sports.   The base cost covers 250 people, then $15 per extra ticket.

I gather the idea first came up last season and gained traction during the summer.  The initiator is active on Ski The East and Facebook in general.

This is a "rent the mountain" event, so only the two high-speed quads will be running.  Sounds like there will be a swag and tents set up by a few companies.  Things are still evolving.

There will be a few free lessons in the morning, as well as a telemark clinic.  Anyone know RJ Ledger?

"RJ LEDGER Enjoy an amazing telemark clinic with RJ, member of the US Telemark Association and PSIA - East. RJ has also taught at Pat's Peak and Crotched Mountain, and during this free clinic you will go through movement analysis, drills to target areas of improvement, trees, bumps, telemark carving, and a whole lot of skiing! (Make sure to ask RJ about his BearTrap skis and leather boots!)."
